Ensuring full compliance with privacy laws and data protection frameworks requires both precision and legal expertise. The Legal Consultant will conduct comprehensive GDPR and compliance audits, reviewing internal policies, contracts, and workflows to ensure adherence to current regulations.
The consultant will begin by evaluating existing documentation, identifying potential areas of non-compliance, and recommending actionable improvements. Every recommendation will be supported by clear legal reasoning and aligned with the organization’s operational structure.
Key audit responsibilities include:
Reviewing data collection, processing, and retention policies.
Assessing third-party vendor contracts for GDPR compliance.
Mapping data flows and identifying potential breach points.
Drafting updated policies for consent, access, and erasure requests.
Special attention will be given to contracts, ensuring that data processing agreements (DPAs) clearly define roles, responsibilities, and liabilities between parties.
Regular risk assessments will be performed to monitor ongoing compliance and strengthen data governance procedures.
Documentation and internal communications will be reviewed to ensure transparent privacy practices. The consultant will also assist teams in updating public-facing documents like privacy policies and cookie notices.
