Optimizing cloud infrastructure is about more than just keeping systems running — it’s about making them run smarter, faster, and safer. This project needs a cloud engineer who can bring structure and performance to an AWS environment that’s already live but ready for improvement.
You’ll begin by reviewing the existing setup, identifying inefficiencies, and documenting areas where architecture can be refined. Every optimization you make will directly impact uptime, cost efficiency, and reliability.
The role focuses on the AWS ecosystem, especially services like EC2, S3, and Lambda. Each service should be configured for performance while keeping cost under control.
Understanding the balance between automation and manual oversight will be key. Some parts of the infrastructure will require scripts; others will need strategic planning.
You’ll use Terraform to define and manage infrastructure as code, ensuring configurations are reusable and easily deployed.
Security will be a central focus. The system must follow AWS best practices for IAM, access control, and encryption without compromising flexibility.
Every change should be logged and documented clearly. Versioning and backup strategies will be part of your routine.
