Handling payments securely and efficiently is critical for any platform, and that’s where your expertise will make an impact. We’re hiring a backend developer who can design and implement a seamless payment integration using modern backend technologies.
You’ll work primarily with Node.js and Express, developing well-structured REST APIs that interact with external payment gateways. Each API will need to be reliable, secure, and optimized for performance under varying loads.
A big part of this role involves building authentication layers and ensuring all transactions are verified properly. Protecting sensitive information while maintaining speed and reliability is the top priority.
You’ll also manage the database side using MySQL, where data integrity, structure, and relationships between tables must be clean and consistent. Understanding how to log and track transactions will help maintain transparency and accountability in the system.
Testing will play a key role in your work. You’ll write unit and integration tests to ensure the API behaves as expected under different scenarios — successful transactions, failures, timeouts, and retries.
Close collaboration with frontend developers and product managers will ensure that API endpoints align perfectly with the user experience. Your ability to explain backend logic in simple terms will help the team stay aligned.
