Integrating third-party services into our platform requires a backend developer who can manage APIs with precision and reliability. The work will involve connecting external systems, ensuring smooth data flows, and building processes that scale.
The role calls for someone comfortable with Node.js and Express as the backbone of our application. These will be the primary tools used to structure the integrations.
REST API knowledge must be strong, since much of the work will involve connecting endpoints, handling responses, and ensuring data is exchanged correctly between platforms.
We’ll also need database expertise, particularly with MySQL. The integrations will require structured data storage and efficient queries to support performance.
Authentication will be a central focus. Third-party services often come with complex authentication flows, and we need someone who can manage these securely.
Error handling is just as important as successful requests. Failures should be anticipated and managed gracefully without breaking the rest of the system.
The developer will also be expected to document the integrations so that internal teams understand how they function and how to maintain them.
