Video Editor for Weekly Podcast and Tutorial Clips
Skills Required
Description
Podcasts and tutorial clips need more than basic cutting—they should be engaging, polished, and formatted to capture attention quickly.
The editor will handle weekly content, working on both long-form podcast episodes and shorter tutorial segments intended for distribution across multiple channels.
Experience with After Effects and Motion Graphics is expected. Simple animations like lower thirds, transitions, and branded intros will be part of the workload.
Audio quality must not be overlooked. Syncing audio tracks, cleaning background noise, and balancing levels will be essential steps in each production.
Tutorials should be structured in a way that’s easy for viewers to follow. This means cutting out filler, highlighting key moments, and ensuring smooth pacing.
The editor will need to prepare content for multiple platforms—YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and possibly TikTok. Each requires different aspect ratios, lengths, and formats.
Attention to detail matters when it comes to captions and subtitles. Accessibility should be prioritized, and errors in spelling or timing must be avoided.
Turnaround time will be important since content is produced on a weekly basis. Editors must stay consistent in delivery schedules without sacrificing quality.
Collaboration with the content team will help ensure edits align with brand voice and strategy. Visuals should reinforce the message rather than distract from it.
