QA Tester for Mobile Apps
Skills Required
Description
Testing mobile apps requires patience, attention to detail, and a structured approach to uncover bugs before they impact users. The QA tester will work on ensuring that every feature functions as expected across multiple devices and operating systems.
Manual testing will form the foundation of this role, covering areas such as navigation, forms, workflows, and usability. Each test case must be carefully documented to maintain consistency and transparency.
Automation testing adds another layer of efficiency. Using Selenium or other testing frameworks, repetitive tasks such as regression tests can be executed faster, saving time during frequent release cycles.
Cross-device compatibility is crucial. Apps must perform consistently on different screen sizes, resolutions, and OS versions, ensuring no user is left with a broken experience.
Performance testing will also be required to check how apps handle heavy traffic, data loads, and extended usage. Crashes, slow responses, or battery drain issues must be detected early.
The end goal is to guarantee that users experience a stable, reliable, and intuitive mobile app from installation to everyday use.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct manual functional and usability testing
Write and execute automated test scripts with Selenium
Perform regression, performance, and cross-device testing
Document defects clearly with steps to reproduce
