UI/UX Designer for Meditation App – Mobile Focus

We’re working on a mobile meditation app aimed at helping people manage stress, improve sleep, and develop mindfulness. The app is in early-stage development, and we’re now ready to bring on a UI/UX designer to elevate our design to match the calming, thoughtful experience we want users to feel.
This role is perfect for someone who understands mobile-first design and has a strong eye for aesthetics in the wellness or mental health space. We're especially drawn to minimalist, clean interfaces with intuitive navigation.
Previous experience designing mobile apps is a must. We’re not looking for generic template design work — the goal is to create something unique, smooth, and serene. The interface should reduce friction, not add to it.
You’ll be working closely with our product manager and lead developer, so communication is key. We’ll provide initial wireframes and sketches, but we expect you to improve upon them and present better solutions where needed.
Color theory, font pairing, spacing, and iconography will play a major role in this project. We want the visuals to promote a sense of calm without feeling dull or generic. Think Headspace or Balance, but with a softer touch.
Attention to detail is everything. Small touches — like transitions between screens or micro-animations when a user completes a meditation — should feel delightful without being distracting.
