Tech Support Consultant to Help Set Up DNS + Email Routing
Skills Required
Description
DNS and email routing setup has become a sticking point for the team. While the domains are registered and websites are live, email deliverability and internal routing have started showing inconsistencies.
An experienced tech consultant is needed to step in and cleanly configure DNS settings, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records to meet today’s email security standards.
The business uses multiple services — some emails are routed through third-party platforms like Mailchimp, while others are handled via Google Workspace. Coordination across tools is critical.
Currently, some emails are landing in spam folders or not arriving at all. Troubleshooting and ensuring proper alignment across records is a priority.
Experience with Google Admin console, MX record configuration, and domain registrar settings will be essential for success in this role.
At least two domains need full review and configuration, with a few subdomains requiring redirection and forwarding to dedicated platforms.
The project scope also involves advising on best practices for ongoing DNS management to reduce dependency and prevent future conflicts.
Clear documentation of changes made, including screenshots and record values, will be requested as part of the handoff.
Comfort working with platforms like GoDaddy, Cloudflare, or Namecheap is expected, since these are commonly involved in the current domain setup.
