Developer Needed to Fix Cookie Consent Issues Across Browsers
Skills Required
Description
Running into a frustrating issue with cookie consent not behaving consistently across browsers.
On Safari, things seem fine — but Chrome and Firefox are giving us mixed results. Sometimes the consent banner doesn't load at all.
This is for a React site hosted on Webflow, and we've used a third-party script for cookie handling.
We’re trying to stay compliant with GDPR, so this isn't something we can let slide much longer.
I’m hoping to work with someone who’s experienced in handling browser-specific quirks, especially around privacy tools.
Would love to get an audit of our current implementation to see what’s going wrong.
If needed, I’m open to switching libraries — just want something reliable that works everywhere.
You don’t need to worry about design changes, but maintaining our UX consistency is important.
The issue is mostly on desktop, but mobile browsers might need a quick test too.
React experience is a must, and any QA testing insight is a bonus.
Prefer working with someone who’s responsive and communicates findings clearly.
Our team can provide staging links or production access as needed — we’re ready to get this fixed ASAP.
This could lead to more collaboration if things go smoothly — we’ve got other front-end cleanup planned.
Let me know your availability and how you'd approach diagnosing the issue.
