Full Stack Developer for SaaS Platform – Ongoing Work
Skills Required
Description
We’ve built the foundation for our SaaS platform, but we’re now looking for a reliable full stack developer to step in and help us push the product forward.
The stack is Django on the backend, JavaScript (mostly vanilla with a bit of jQuery) on the front, and a PostgreSQL database. It’s clean, but it’s growing — and we need someone who can handle both sides of the codebase without getting overwhelmed.
Most of the heavy lifting on backend architecture is done, but new features will require API integrations, updates to existing models, and a few dashboard modules for admin control.
You’ll also work on refining our front-end interface. While it’s fully functional, it lacks polish — spacing, interaction, and mobile responsiveness all need attention. We have Adobe XD files to guide you, but there’s room for input if you see UX issues.
We’re targeting early-stage businesses, so stability and clarity in the UI are more important than bells and whistles. The platform needs to feel trustworthy and efficient to a non-technical audience.
You’ll be working closely with the founder (me) and a freelance designer who’s helping us define visual updates. Slack and Loom will be our main tools for async collaboration, and we do quick check-ins a couple of times per week.
Initial priorities include refining the sign-up and onboarding process, adding a user permission system, and integrating a billing provider (probably Stripe).
