Need Backend Developer for Node.js + MongoDB Microservice

We’re building a microservice to handle order management for our internal system. This will be a standalone service — Node.js + Express with MongoDB — and needs to support RESTful endpoints for CRUD operations, status updates, and activity logging.

Auth is already handled at the platform level, but you’ll need to make sure the endpoints are protected and scoped properly. JWT experience is helpful.

Expect around 6–8 endpoints total. Nothing too fancy, but we want solid structure and clean, readable code. Bonus points if you’re good at documenting endpoints for our frontend team.

This service will talk to two others over HTTP (basic fetch/post), and you’ll need to write logic to validate incoming requests and return formatted responses.

Tests are important — not exhaustive, but we want basic coverage and sanity checks in place before we push to staging.

Repo will be set up in GitHub with issue tracking. You’ll work independently but check in with our lead dev every few days.
