Shopify Developer to Build and Customize Storefront
Skills Required
Description
Selling products is only half the challenge — presenting them in the right environment is just as important. We’re looking for a Shopify developer who can build a custom storefront that feels smooth, modern, and user-friendly from start to checkout.
The store will feature around 30–40 products to start, with a focus on clean layout, fast load times, and mobile responsiveness. While we already have a general structure and theme in mind, we’re open to layout suggestions and UI tweaks.
Customizing product pages, integrating key third-party apps, and streamlining the cart/checkout process will be a central part of your role. Experience with Shopify Liquid, metafields, and dynamic collections is a must.
You’ll work closely with our designer, who will provide mockups in Figma. Collaboration and attention to design details will be important — we want the final build to match the visuals closely.
Our team uses basic tools like Trello and Slack for communication. Familiarity with version control (Git) is a plus but not required for this phase of the build.
In addition to functionality, SEO optimization and proper tagging must be handled during development. This includes metadata, alt text, and semantic structure wherever relevant.
This will be a long-term partnership if the first phase goes well. Additional projects — including loyalty program integration and blog page design — are on the roadmap.
