Real-time notifications are a crucial part of our application's engagement strategy. We need someone who can configure Firebase properly to handle push notifications reliably.

You'll be responsible for setting up Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) and ensuring that our backend, built on Node.js, communicates seamlessly with it.

The goal is to trigger notifications based on specific in-app events such as new messages, updates, or alerts.

We already have the Firebase project created — your job will be to configure it, connect it to our backend, and implement the notification logic.

You should have prior experience working with real-time applications or mobile/web apps that depend heavily on instant user alerts.

We want notifications to be delivered promptly and consistently, even in edge cases like network instability or browser background tabs.

Understanding token management and handling multiple user sessions is essential for this role.

Testing your implementation is part of the task. We'll provide access to staging environments and expect a thorough QA pass before go-live.

If you’ve worked with topic-based or group notifications in Firebase, that’s a big plus.

Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and communicates clearly throughout the project.

You’ll be working with our in-house team, so collaboration through GitHub and regular progress updates will be part of the workflow.
