Optimize Blog Images for Faster Load Times
Skills Required
Description
Our blog has grown significantly, but with it, we've noticed a drop in performance—especially due to image-heavy content. We're now looking for a specialist to help optimize image loading across the site without compromising visual quality.
We’d love to work with someone who has experience implementing lazy loading, next-gen formats like WebP or AVIF, and understands how to balance resolution with performance.
We’ve already run some Lighthouse audits, so we have a general sense of what needs fixing. Now we need someone to come in and actually get the work done.
This isn't just a “compress and move on” gig. We want reusable strategies and best practices integrated into our publishing workflow.
Experience with image CDNs or edge caching is a bonus.
Familiarity with Vue.js and Node.js environments will help a lot.
You don’t need to redesign anything, but we’ll need your help with selecting appropriate fallback formats, tweaking CSS if needed, and ensuring retina displays still show crisp assets.
If you’re good at turning bloated blogs into zippy experiences, we’d love to chat.
Let me know if you'd like this formatted into your job listings file or if you'd like the next one.
