Add Stripe Subscription Billing to My Web App

I've got a web app that's already live and functioning, but one key part is still missing — subscription billing. I need someone to jump in and integrate Stripe's subscription system properly into the backend and frontend of my platform.
The backend is built with Node.js, and I’ve already got Stripe set up to handle one-time payments. What I need now is to expand that integration to support recurring payments and subscription plans.
Ideally, you’re someone who has worked with the Stripe API before — particularly with setting up subscriptions, handling customer portals, billing cycles, webhooks, and error handling. If you’ve done this kind of thing more than once, you’ll probably find this job straightforward.
Right now, I offer three different subscription tiers. Each tier needs to be configured with Stripe and mapped accurately to my app’s user roles. Once a user selects a plan, they should be able to pay, see their billing history, and manage their subscription from within their account dashboard.
Webhook handling is important. I’ll need it set up to automatically handle things like payment failures, cancellations, renewals, and status updates. Smooth error messaging and retries would be a huge plus.
We’re also using JWTs and session tokens for login, so syncing billing access with auth flows should be seamless. For example, if someone cancels, their premium access should expire exactly when their billing does.
