Web Developer Needed to Revamp Personal Portfolio Site
Skills Required
Description
I’m in the middle of a career pivot and want my personal portfolio site to reflect where I’m headed. I already have a basic site live, but it feels outdated and clunky — not exactly the impression I want to give to potential clients or employers.
The goal is to modernize the entire layout while keeping things minimal. I’d like the new version to highlight case studies in a more structured way, include smooth scroll animations, and ensure the site looks great on mobile devices.
You’ll be working mostly with HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript — no frameworks needed. I’m intentionally avoiding platforms like WordPress or Webflow because I want to host it simply and manage updates myself.
I already have some sketches and reference sites that inspire the aesthetic I’m aiming for — clean, fast-loading, and elegant. Think subtle transitions, a bold typeface, and well-spaced sections that breathe.
Please don’t treat this like a one-size-fits-all redesign. I want your creative input, especially when it comes to how best to present my work and narrative.
If you’ve built portfolio sites for other creatives or developers, I’d love to see your work. Strong attention to detail and mobile responsiveness are a must.
There are no tight deadlines on this project, but I do value clear communication and consistent updates. Ideally, you can get started this week and wrap it up in 2–3 weeks depending on scope.
