Description
An established content creator is looking for an experienced video editor to help produce long-form YouTube videos and short-form vertical content (YouTube Shorts, Reels). The editing style should be fast-paced, engaging, and optimized for viewer retention. You’ll be working with raw footage, voiceovers, and screen recordings to build out polished, on-brand content.
The ideal candidate is someone who understands YouTube culture, trending editing techniques, and pacing that keeps viewers engaged through storytelling, visual cues, and smart transitions. You’ll also be responsible for basic sound design, trimming out dead space, and adding captions where needed.
Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro is essential. You should also be comfortable using B-roll, stock footage, light motion graphics, and sound effects to enhance the final output. Thumbnail support would be a bonus, especially if you’re skilled at creating bold, scroll-stopping visuals.
Editors who are familiar with the YouTube algorithm and how editing style impacts watch time and CTR will be prioritized. A solid grasp of intro hooks, scene flow, and call-to-action timing is also valuable. Videos typically range from 8–12 minutes in length, while Shorts are under 60 seconds.
